A bit about Waverly

The Wave, as she is known around our house, is one of the best dogs I have ever owned.  Her temperament is second to none.  Waverly has a soulful presence and will make you love her.  She is the perfect house dog, and is sure she was born a princess.  Waverly is easy going, a friend to everyone she meets and will be an excellent therapy dog.  Wave will melt your heart in minutes and all our visitors want to take her home.

She is willing to please, a great teacher to the young dogs and I am sure will be a fantastic mother.  While Waverly is calm and relaxed in the house she turns it up a few notches once she is outside.  She will play for hours if you throw the toy or she has another dog out with her to run with.  And then there is the water.  Waverly was born to swim and be in the water at every chance she gets. Waverly can't wait to get to the lakehouse every summer to swim with all the kids and show off her dock diving moves.  She is going to be my first PWD to do water work with.

Waverly is in excellent health, she has beautiful breed type, fantastic substance and bone and is a lovely Portuguese Water Dog.  We are very excited about this combination with Gus.

Getting To Know Gus
written by his owner:  Amy Phelan

“Gus” is the first pick puppy of Specialty winner Ch Pouch Cove’s Monkey Business’ first litter.  He is a beautiful black curly boy, standing 22 inches at the shoulder and weighing 51 pounds; a moderate dog with strong bone and outstanding PWD type and movement.  All this coupled with a sweet, enthusiastic personality and strong working drive.

“Gus” finished first in his class at the 2008 National Specialty and went on to his Championship with a win at the Superstition Kennel Club supported entry in 2009.  In 2010, he teamed up with Rindi Gaudet and the two of them made magic campaigning as a Special.  “Gus” is a born show dog and loves the ring and roar of the crowd.   He enjoys his time on the road and has won over 75 best of breed awards, 19 Group placements and a Group win.  He finished the 2010 season #4 in Breed and Allbreed rankings, all systems.  He also earned the title of Silver Grand Champion.

In 2011, he came home to Texas and trained in performance events, earning both his Apprentice Water Title and Companion Dog obedience title.   This versatile and accomplished boy returns to the conformation ring this year as a Special with Rindi, to continue to add to his accomplishments.  He is, in every way, everything a water dog should be.
